I PESCATORI DI ORBETELLO
The Lagoon of Orbetello, at the foothill of the Mount Argentario and immersed in the world renowned Tuscan coast along the Maremma, represents an unique ecosystem where many fish species find the best environment to reproduce and thrive, in particular Sea bass, Sea bream and Mullet. We access the lagoon by the grace of The Pescatori di Orbetello, a fishermen trust that was granted exclusive rights to this water in the 14th Century when humble fishermen saved the life of the Pope after a shipwreck in 1376.
The Lagoon is a huge flat of about 27 square kilometres (over 10 square miles) recognised as "Site of International Importartance" by the Ramsar Convention, being a biodiverse paradise to discover the pink flamingos, egrets, herons, osprey and the rare black-winged stilt (Cavaliere d'Italia) who stalk prey in these shallow waters.
Part of the Lagoon of Orbetello is also a protected WWF Oasis.

FISHING EXPERIENCE
Top Water Fly Fishing (and Spinning - Lure) in this paradise is a pretty unique experience.
Fishing from the dedicated boat allow us to chase our targets even in the most remote spots of the lagoon in total comfort and safety. The boat is reserved to a maximum of 2 (Fly Fishing) or 3 (Spinning - Lure Fishing) anglers per session, prior booking, with an authorised and certified Fishing Guide AIGUPP (Italian Professional Fishing Guide Trust).
All recreational fishing from the boat is "Catch&Release" only.
For the anglers that prefers bank fishing, for beginners willing to move their first steps into Predator Fly Fishing and for the groups of anglers (ie Corporate Days), it is possible to organize unforgettable experiences in reserved (and very fishy) spots on the lagoon, always prior booking with an authorised and certified Fishing Guide hunting for Sea bass, Sea bream and Mullet during the "Golden Hours", from the dusk to the first dark hours.
It is possible, from the bank, to keep one fish per session per angler.
